  • Finally

I have two days off after 5 days of working 4:30AM shifts!! Time to relax!

Working at the airport is probably the best job I've had so far. I experienced and learned a lot and gained a lot of skills from working there. Met nice people, and unfortunately some really bad people as well. But it's something that can't really be avoided since at the airport you meet all sorts of different people. I'm still very much grateful though that I've been given the chance to work there.

During those early morning shifts I'd usually feel extremely tired in the very beginning but feel fine afterward. Been running on three hours of sleep during all of those shifts since it's so hard for me to go to bed early. Given the chance, when no one is around, I'd sleep for like 10 minutes behind my till and sit on a basket or something and I'd totally doze off. My manager would probably fire me if she caught me but luckily I've been able to get away with it.

I don't have too much planned for my two days off. I sort of just wanted to stay home and rest and try to fix my sleeping schedule. Speaking of schedule, I need to let my bosses know what my schedule is for school. noted*

Other than work, life has been ok. My puppy is having a few eating problems but she's still as active as ever. I think I'm losing weight because when I went shopping for clothes mediums have been loose on me and I'd fit smalls or even extra smalls. I'm not eating properly and have been dependent on multivitamins.

  • MN (Aug 05 - 06)

Wish I could've stayed in Minneapolis for a couple more days.

Driving 8 hours straight didn't seem so bad at first. I felt slightly tired since I only had 3 hours of sleep beforehand. But once we got there and headed to MOA to shop I felt like I was going to faint. So it was best that my boyfriend and I headed back to the hotel (which wasn't all that spectacular for it's worth) to sleep for a bit. That definitely helped me gain some energy.

In the end though I didn't get to buy too much stuff. But overall it was a good experience.
Next time I'm probably going to plan a little more ahead of time before taking a trip. We thought of going to MN on Wed. Confirmed the trip on Thurs. And then left on Friday morning. Did everything to the last minute. And I don't think I'll want to drive anywhere anymore. Airplanes <3

Had no use of either of our Iphones since we didn't want to get charged for roaming.
Had no GPS. So I google mapped all the places we were going to see. wrote everything down in a little notebook..lol.
Had only $50 because I hadn't gotten paid yet. But, boyfriend bought stuff for me so it was okay too :)

  • Men.

I can't work with men no matter where I go.

    Fast food restaurant was bad.

Professional jobs like the office and airport were even worse.

You'd think it would get better the more professional the job,

but I guess the men there have too much ego with the salaries they make.

    "Speak Low"

When I drive at night from work I just light a cigarette and listen to some Sarah Vaughan and all my problems just go away for a moment and I'm at peace.

  • I'm feeling more tired lately.

It's probably because of work since I have to work at 4:30 in the morning sometimes. But I actually like working those really early shifts because I get the rest of the afternoon to do whatever I want. And it allows me to sleep earlier which is good.

  • Happy 21st Stephanie.

I went out for my friends birthday tonight. It wasn't a crazy drunken event like previous birthday bashes but it was nice to just go out and have some safe fun. My boyfriend accompanied me and we left early since both of us have work tomorrow morning.

I promised myself not to drink any beer because if I did I will surely be having a dreadful hangover the next morning. There's a saying that goes, which I'm too lazy/drunk to look up, that if you drink liqs before beer then you'll be in the clear. I didn't drink any beer tonight so I should be good.

The crowd tonight didn't seem to want to dance. Guys weren't dancing with girls so it felt weird when Tony and I danced with each other.

But all in all it was mostly just a night to relax and let a load off.

I looked exceptionally dressed up today or so my boyfriend says. I did my make up with make up I had just picked up at the drugstore a few hours before going out. It was on sale so I was quite pleased with my purchase and they were reputable items on top of that. I bought some eyeshadow, concealer, and lipgloss. It all seemed to go well with each other and Tony really took notice when he picked me up. I usually never use eyeshadow. Usually I'll just put on some eyeliner and foundation and some lipgloss and that's it. But today I was watching some videos on Youtube of makeup gurus. This girl (AhraMablog) in particular and it just inspired me to do my make up "properly" and with more effort and little did I know it would go along way even with just drugstore make up. I was contemplating on buying the branded make up Benefit at the mall but I was strapped for time and reminded myself to budget my money for more important things so I just headed to the nearest drugstore.

It's nice because I can wear the make up I bought everyday without looking unnatural. It can be worn simple and look fancy and glamorous at the same time. Pretty proud. Make up is most girls best friend.

  • Listening to Speak Low - Sarah Vaughn.

    Visualizing:

    exiting a coffee shop.

    Misty street. sidewalks.

    heels clacking on wet pavement.

    8:00 p.m.

    face dewy and cool.

    Actually:

    Temperature = 20C. Humidity = 78%.

    Clear Night.

    Electric fan going.

I've just recently gotten in touch with my Filipino roots after my grandma left to live with my uncle. Reason being because I went downstairs, where my grandma usually hangs out, and watched some Filipino tv. I rarely watch tv nowadays and especially when my grandma's around because she'll be talking none stop to me and I wouldn't be able to understand what's on anyway. But now, I get to watch peacefully.

My house hasn't had any cable for the longest time now. I think it's been 2 years. But we still have asian channels. So that's what I ended up watching today.

I never really had any interest in watching Filipino dramas. I don't find the filming, acting, story plots very impressive and unoriginal. I feel like as long as someone can cry on cue they'll be given an acting gig on the stop. And their crying isn't that convincing either.

But I did find a series called "Sinner or Saint" to be rather interesting. And I sort of want to watch the movie "Forever and a Day" after the trailer was advertised like 10 times since I started watching tv.
